2008 Special Finance Hall of Fame Inductees

Corporate Award Winnder: Chase Custom Auto Finance

This year’s Special Finance Hall of Fame welcomes two corporate inductees. Chase Custom Auto Finance is being inducted for its long-term and consistent performance in the Special Finance industry. Before it became known as Chase Custom Auto Finance, Bank One Custom Finance began in the early 1990s serving both franchise and independent dealers. Their finance model has been consistent and predictable for dealers since their early days. Bank One Custom even included private labeled programs for dealer groups and associations such as the Automobile Dealer Association of Indiana, Inc.

J.P Morgan Chase, one of the original three banks behind the launch of DealerTrack, recognized the opportunity that existed in the Bank One model to reach a growing market. In 2004, J.P. Morgan Chase and Bank One completed their merger. With that merger came a new name, Chase Custom Auto Finance, and expansion on a large scale. Now with 42 subprime business centers, Chase is positioned to prudently and easily handle the financing demands of dealers and customers and to react to changes in a growing market place.

Although dealers have been able to submit finance applications and access programs through DealerTrack and RouteOne for many years now, Chase still believes that underwriters and funders should be in constant contact with dealerships to help develop the relationships necessary for both to succeed.
